1995 LINDEMANS BIN 50 SHIRAZ
Lindemans Wines
South Australia
57,50 FIM ~$ 11

A beautiful, dark garnet wine. Some spices mix with the scents of grapes. A full-bodied, 'muscular', and slightly spicy taste with a hint of raspberry. A fine, balanced body of grapes supported, but not overwhelmed by some mild oak vanilla. Opens up easily to it's sufficiently interesting aromas. A pleasantly full, and ready wine to be enjoyed.

The wine mixed well with a fine peppery filé, garlicy potatoes, tomatoes, and fresh onion stems.

Not at all a Winnie the Pooh wine, but rather resembling the true Australian Roo, capable of a powerful right-hand punch, and a long jump. Penfolds-Lindemans syndicate shows again, if not aboringal, but quite original power. Corkfingers
