Welcome to enjoy the Wine of the Week!
|
The method of choosing the Wine of the Week is similar
to a particular way of taking a good photograph. You start on Monday and
study your subject from different directions and angles and in varying
lighting conditions all the way till Saturday, but don't expose a single
frame of your film. By Sunday you have found the perfect way to capture
your subject with your camera.
With this method you'll end up with 52 good photographs a year - not a bad achievement for any photographer. But there are also some differences - seeing
and tasting are not identical activities. Looking at a bottle of Red isn't
quite enough, but studying the contents of some interesting bottles during
the first days of the week gives you insights. When the best one of them
is relived again on Sunday, the experience comes quite close to that of
the photographer finally exposing his film.
