Sunday, Dec. 25 till Tuesday Dec. 27, 2011 - Kalyves.

Just short notes:

On Sunday Mikko and Irmeli over to a meal almost resembling a Finnish Xmas meal. First Kiti's jouluglögi (warmed-up spiced red wine), then a bit of pork (though smoked), rosolli, two kinds of herring, skordalia, Kiti's bread...
A very nice encounter!

On Monday first to see Irmeli's and Mikko's home-to-be here in Kalyves, and then over to their present place for coffee and Irmeli's tasty coocies. Later Nikos over to have the nearly Finnish Xmas meal. Later in the evening we all met in taverna Mythos.

On Tuesday Milli to see the veterinarian for a check-up. Everything OK ! Then to Mythos to a very disappointing meal. It's Hannu's nameday, but the pork with a creamy sauce with mushrooms had incredibly untasty meat in it. Tasted like very dry chicken! Fortunately Milli is not allergic to dry pork (or chicken, though she is to beef), so we had a very large doggy-bag to take home!

The weather aftercast for these days and nights in Kalyves:
The weather forecasters proved their inability again! No better weather! The same dull greyness prevailed all through these days. Fortunately it was windy only during the night between Xmas Eve and Xmas Day. The sea rolled some sand and stones over the embankment to the seashore road - but it was all far from making any damages. Occasional or constant rains from day to day.
