March 16, 2007 till next entry The vine on our patio has already started to grow leaves in the warmest spots. March 17, 2007 till next entry Warm and sunny weathers continue. Our vine interested also this ladybird. But it was impossible to make her pose with a smile. We were also wondering if all these beautiful, insectivorous bugs are female? Where are the sirbirds? A more than interesting evening and supper in Valeria's home. Great cooking! And we had the joy of meeting Valeria's brother, his bride, and Valeria's father & mother. Valeria's mother is an exceptionally fine artist. She's making wood-panels, clay, etc. into works of real art. And an amazing thing of the evening was the house where Valeria, her parents, and her brother live. They've been re-constructing and renowating it for more than 30 years. Some centuries ago the house used to be the abode of the Sultan of Chania - in times of the Turkish rule. The ceilings, the floors, and the walls of the house carry that history.
