Feb. 19, 2007 till next entry This is Clean Monday, the beginning of the Lent. It might also be called the go-'n'-fly-a-kite day! That is meant very literally - not in the other meaning of the phrase - because after all the crazy celebration during the carnival of yesterday, families with their kids have a habit of going to the seashore to fly kites. That is a calming, soothing experience after yesterday. And some great kites were seen there. They hovered beautifully against the sky - the best of them reaching as far up as 100 meters! When the no-meat-days (to the believers) are at hand, it's pleasant to see that the Greek strawberries have arrived! They make an excellent, contrasty, dessert (with cream) after a fish-dinner.
