It's all there!
I feel strangely serene with this wine, and this winepage. No REALWORLD reason for that, but nevertheless I do. Perhaps because the little French aquaintance was a perfect match with an ostrich steak in a creamy, peppery sauce. Just that much spicy, and that much fruity to make the stings of pepper in the sinews of an ostrich first rise, and then land back on plate-level. Harmony & a counter-attack in one bottle.

Another reason for my serenity might be that we enjoyded the ostrich in Jani's company. Then there is always music involved. And even the sounds of instruments, as supposedly abstract as they are considered by some, deliver a message. Music has a main-line connection whether you accept it or not. But sometimes there is a hammer-job calling - when ears are filled with nonsensical orwellianisims - and the situation calls for direct speech. - All the above is a reason for my serenity... because of the company around a table laden with enjoyable food, a nice little wine, and people with...

The third reason is very enjoyable. See you next time well after "Easter/Pääsiäinen". Meanwhile Kiti & I will be in Prague, just gazing, walking, sipping beers & occasional wines, eating...

P.S. With the 55 cards in a deck today, I try to convince myself that wars should be fought by the leaders of belligerent parties. But I don't see much of that happening by the results in iraqi hospitals. Just adults playing deadly cards with the brains, and strategies of poorly educated children. And doing it in a post-mortem fashion, when considered suitable. In a civilian (read: civil, even civilized) world a public announcement of aiming at the liquidation of named persons would bear some consequences, and post-mortem, a very likely sentence. But, World Politics seems to be far beyond, or rather below, civil life.

I volunteer to offer an alternative deck. But for budget reasons there will be only one card in it. You can freely guess who that Joker might be.
But after looking more closely into the budget, I feel to be at liberty to offer you TWO cards in the deck. - As playing-cards they will be identical Jokers, and you have a less demanding job of naming these two. - Play your hand carefully.
But, unfortunately, I looked into future budgets, too. There I see only one Joker who will have to pay. I will not take responsibility for that Joker's actions when he wants to play the act of a nice guy, and makes us pay for it after the damage. Tell me an insurance company that would allow such an action.
