For a long time we've had a desire. We have wanted to see Akropolis ! BUT ofcourse NOT the one in Athens. But the one on Akrotiri! So, today we set out to fulfill our dream.

This dream seems to grow into very mythological dimensions. We never found our way there! Even a local Akrotirian shepherd was a bit puzzled when we asked for directions! But it may be that we came very close to Akropolis! It may be the highest peak on Akrotiri where the military radars and radio antennas are located on a restricted area!

This sort of adventure seems to be our destiny. Some years ago we wanted to visit Mt. Olympos - in Cyprus. Also there we ended up looking at a fenced military area just some meters below the top of the mountain!

But, all the same it was an enjoyable journey close to the top of Akrotiri! And even more enjoyable because of the flora, fauna and decorations we found in Akrotiri, and on our way back through our neighbouring Kalami.
