Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 - Kalyves and Souda.

Milli's recovery - from pains in the back and troubles with mobility - seems to progress each day. Nothing could be more satisfying to us!

But today we had multiple problems with winds! First of all with the internet & telephone company WIND and its absurd e-Bill. Can you imagine that an internet operator is not able to program an intelligent way to pay their monthly invoice over the internet even though they deliver an e-Bill? When you move from the e-Bill to paying it, you have to enter EVERY detail from the e-Bill MANUALLY into more or less cryptic fields in a separate window of the browser! We are wondering what century WIND thinks we are living in! Or perhaps there is only wind moving in the brains of their programmers!

The second wind problem was far more understandable. A strong wind from the east or south-east was slamming our doors, moving furniture on the veranda, tilting flower pots... Earlier during the day the wind was very warm, but towards the afternoon it gave an uncomfortably chilly feeling. At about 5 p.m. the wind calmed down and gave way to an overcast sky and a nice temperature of 16.5°C as late as 5.30 p.m. though there no longer was any sun. Today's high temperature reached +22.9°C, and last night's low was +11.2°C owing to some cloudyness and an airflow from the south.

The evening turned out to be so nice, and because Milli is feeling better, we could leave her at the house and go down to the village for a glass of kokkino. There we were joined by Mikko and Irmeli for plans of how Dec. 24 could be mutually enjoyed in a taverna where bouzouki entertains us.

The weather aftercast for today and the previous night in Kalyves:
Everything important seems to have been said above :)
