Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 - Kalyves.

Hannu prepared some new Ice & Snow photos to be exhibited during the bazaar in the Kalyves Primary School next weekend.

Kiti wrote snail-mail. Snail-mail by two accounts: it took a considerable bit of time to write and it will be posted as a letter :)

Quite a quiet and slow day at home.

The 3 p.m view towards west.

The weather aftercast for today and the previous night in Kalyves:
Constant rain and occasional thunder plus some door-slamming winds in the morning. At noon the dark clouds travelled east and gave way to calm, warm and sunny weather till about 2 p.m. The dark clouds and some rain returned for an hour to give way to a clearer sky an hour later. Another change to cloudy skies after 4 p.m. Ilios has been his whimsical self today! At about 5 p.m. Zeus got tired of the indecisive behaviour of Ilios, and took command! He darkened the sky to a point that we lost sight of Akrotiri just across the bay. Then Zeus brought in his usual weapons - wind, rain, thunder and lightning! By 6 p.m. it seems that Ukko from Finland had sent his undergod, Ukkonen to tell Zeus to stop teasing Finns in Kalyves with his childplay! In front of mightier gods Zeus could only obey! But did Zeus keep his promise all through the night remains to be seen!

Afternoon high temperature +19.1°C. Last night's low +11.1°C.
